Your new grade uses a simple weighted average: New Grade = (Grade Before Final) × (1 − Weight) + (Final Score) × Weight. For example, if you had an 85% before the final, scored 72% on the final, and the final was worth 30%, your new grade is 85 × 0.70 + 72 × 0.30 = 81.1%.
