Who built this

Hi — I'm Himu, and I built FinalGradeTools.com. I made the first version of it as a student, the night before a final, scribbling the weighted-average formula on scrap paper because I couldn't find a calculator that handled my actual syllabus. Most of the ones online assumed every class was graded the same simple way. Mine wasn't, and I doubt yours is either.

So I built the tool I wished I'd had: one that handles points-based grading, dropped scores, weighted categories, and multi-part finals — the messy rules real classes use. What started as a single page for me turned into the full set of calculators here. I still maintain it myself, and I read every message that comes through the contact form.

I kept it free, ad-free, and private on purpose. Nothing you type ever leaves your browser, and there's no account to make. Figuring out what you need on a final is stressful enough — the calculator shouldn't add to it.

What we offer

Our tools cover the full range of grading scenarios students encounter: a final grade calculator with weighted, points-based, and after-exam modes; a grade average calculator for your running weighted total; a test grade calculator for quick score-to-letter conversions; and a college GPA calculator on the standard 4.0 scale. We also offer subject-specific pages for chemistry, biology, calculus, and nursing courses with sensible defaults pre-loaded.

Our principles

Privacy first. Every calculation runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is stored on a server or sent anywhere — your grades are yours alone.

Accuracy always. Every result uses standard weighted-average formulas and is mathematically exact given the inputs you provide. We show you the formula so you can check the work yourself.

Free forever. No accounts, no subscriptions, no ads cluttering the page. We think students shouldn't have to pay — or hand over their data — to do a little arithmetic.
